deleting entire table using SQL

I am trying to delete an entire table, structure and all, using an SQL statement. I am not trying to just delete all the rows, I want the entire table removed. I have:

DELETE tblpifinal

This gives me a syntax error. I have also tried

DELETE OBJECT tbltracerfinal

This gives me "missing operator".

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I used this:

DoCmd.RunSQL "DROP TABLE tblTracerfinal;"

And it worked fine.
