I have some calculated fields in my pivot table I no longer need because they are incorrect and I would like to delete them. I have tried to select the pivot table and then click formulas and then calculated field and select the name of the calculated field however the delete button is greyed out.

Excel Facts

Copy formula down without changing references
If you have =SUM(F2:F49) in F50; type Alt+' in F51 to copy =SUM(F2:F49) to F51, leaving the formula in edit mode. Change SUM to COUNT.
Are you clicking on the field name from the "Fields" section, or are you choosing it from the "Name:" field with the drop down menu?

If choosing the field from the "Name:" field drop down still does not make the Delete button available you may be working in a protected worksheet.

If it is protected, try to unprotect it, you never know, there might not be a password required.
