Deleting a post

How do you delete a post you messed up badly? Thanks.

You could report the post using the report button, but there isn't a way for normal non-admin users to delete a post or edit it after 5 minutes.

As schielrn mentioned, if it is after 5 minutes, just click the Report button and describe that issue and we Moderators can clean it up or delete it. I cleaned it up for you.

Thanks, Joe. I was about to attempt that and saw the message that the "Reporting" link was only for spam, advertisements and malicious posts. Noting that my problem didn't fit any of those categories, I declined to attempt it. Thanks a bunch for fixing the problem.

We do allow you to Report posts about messed up HTML code, etc also. It probably isn't listed there, because that originally wasn't a common problem, but has been happening with a lot more frequency with the different programs available to post screen shots.
