Deleting a picture

All,

I have inserted picture.gif into cell A2 (It covers a few other cells)on my spread sheet.
Is there a way that when I delete row 2, the .gif gets deleted as well (aside from selecting the .gif and deleting it)?

Right now, the row's contents are deleted, the lower cells are shifted up and the .gif remains (covering the information in the remaining cells).

Thanks for your help.

Excel Facts

What is the fastest way to copy a formula?
If A2:A50000 contain data. Enter a formula in B2. Select B2. Double-click the Fill Handle and Excel will shoot the formula down to B50000.
Right click the picture and choose Format Picture. On the Properties tab check Move and size with cells and click OK.

Now when you delete row 2 the picture will shrink. But it will only be deleted if you delete all the rows it covers.

When I tested this, I accessed the picture's properties and changed these to be "Move and Size with cells" - With these options selected, if all of the rows surrounding the picture are deleted, then so is the picture - I used a JPEG for this test, so I don't know if the results will differ with a .gif

I hope this helps - or at least points you in the right direction.
