is there a way with excel 2000 to delete a file? i have a workbook that keeps updated records throughout the week. on monday, the first data is calculated. then tuesday a new copy of the book is opened and it gets tuesday's data, adds it to mondays data, and now there's an updated record in one place. wednesday, a new one is opened that adds the monday/tuesday data to it, so on and so forth. what i need is for the previous days workbook to be completely deleted as the users have strict disk quotas to meet.

can this be done through automation?
