I have a field within a table that I would like to be purged weekly. Is there a way to delete just the field and not the entire record?

Thanks,

Frank

Fastest way to copy a worksheet?
Hold down the Ctrl key while dragging tab for Sheet1 to the right. Excel will make a copy of the worksheet.
Do you really want to delete the field, or just delete the contents of the field?

If you want to delete the contents of the field, you can do so via an Update Query (see Access's help on Action Queries).

Here is what the SQL would look like for an Update Query to blank out the values for a field (you can build this via the Query Builder also)>

UPDATE MyTable SET MyTable.MyField = "";
