Delete entire row based on one cell? :(

Is it possible to delete entire rows if the first cell in that row (the cell in Column A) is blank?

Yes. Would you like to do this via VBA or using Filters? What does your data look like, i.e. is their some column which will always have data in it even though column A is blank, or are you just looking to delete blank rows?

Forget vba for this:

Select column A

Edit | Goto | Special | Blanks
Edit | Delete | Entire Row

Done and Done.

I have a spreadsheet which has data in Columns A through F.
Most rows have data in every cell (i.e.: A2, B2, C2, D2, E2, F2).
Some rows, however, do not have any data in the A cell.
I'd like to delete these entire rows without having to sort the list.
What are your suggestions?

DRJ's response is right on. If you want the code, here it is...

Columns("A:A").Select
Selection.SpecialCells(xlCellTypeBlanks).Select
Selection.EntireRow.Delete
Range("A1").Select

You could also select the entire range and use an autofilter, but that's more work than needed.
