Hi,

I'm working on an excel sheet that contain empty cells every two rows and every two columns. I want to get rid of them, but doing that manually would cost me the rest of the night as the sheet I work on are very large.

Who can tell me what simple function I may use to delete these empty cells (or rather empty rows and columns)?

Thanks in advance. I know my question is rather primitive but one needs to start somewhere ...

Kind regards,

Maarten

Excel Facts

Repeat Last Command
Pressing F4 adds dollar signs when editing a formula. When not editing, F4 repeats last command.
Try this

Highlight your entire range
Click Edit - Goto - Special
Select Blanks
Click OK
Right Click any highlighted cell - delete - Shift Left

Repeat but choose Shift UP

Does that help?

That's indeed the only basic way to deal with the problem in a more or less efficient way. Thanks heaps!
