Default cell alignment incorrect

Hey,

for some reason, the cell alignment of new workbooks/sheets is not correct anymore...
The alignment is set to bottom and right instead of top and left like it was before.

I did some research and already created xltx-files called book.xltx and sheet.xltx in the XLSTART folder.
This gives me the correct alignment when I add a new sheet in a new workbook, but not the starting (new) workbook itself...
When I click ctrl+N in the new workbook, it'll create yet another workbook which will have the correct alignments.

So it looks like the xltx-files are doing their job, it's just the original workbook that is being opened that is crooked.

Any ideas on what could cause this and how I can fix it?

Thanks!

Which Excel functions can ignore hidden rows?
The SUBTOTAL and AGGREGATE functions ignore hidden rows. AGGREGATE can also exclude error cells and more.
Welcome to the forum.

The default alignment should be General (horizontal) and Bottom (vertical). There is no way to alter that for the built-in default as far as I know.
