I have an Access form that inputs a series of numbers. At the end of the row it totals the numbers. I set the enabled property to NO for the calculated field. Everything adds up just fine but the background color of the non enabled fields goes gray.

In fact it does not predictably go gray. It will start out white and then when the number is updated it goes grey - so does several calculated fields below it.

The background property is set to white.

I am using Access 97 with a Widows 95 operating system. Yes I know that these are OLD versions but its all we have at work so I dont have an upgrade choice.

Which Excel functions can ignore hidden rows?
The SUBTOTAL and AGGREGATE functions ignore hidden rows. AGGREGATE can also exclude error cells and more.
Yup that does it

Thanks

I did have to set tab stop to NO as well -- knowing the people that will use this they would sit on the field forever trying to put a number in it then call me saying it doesnt work!!
