Dear all,

I have excel 2007 data

I used formula as ` =round (data1+data2,rounding digit).

Rounding digit2

Column1Column2Column3
DATA1DATA2RESULT
1.021.052.07
1.051.052.1
1.91.13

I want result as below

Column1Column2Column3
DATA1DATA2RESULT
1.021.052.07
1.051.052.10
1.91.13.00

I want display result in result column 3.. as per rounding digit decided, but excel shows less digit if decimal is zero. Result column should not exclude zero. decimal should as per rounding digit regardless decimal value zero or other number.

Excel Facts

Does the VLOOKUP table have to be sorted?
No! when you are using an exact match, the VLOOKUP table can be in any order. Best-selling items at the top is actually the best.
Hello! For cells in the third column, use the Number cell format with two decimal places.

Thanks for reply...but rounding digit cell is unlocked cell ..user can only enter data1 and data2...all other cells are locked...rounding digit may vary like 1, 2,3,4 etc...I am searching for this and other than Text function..

But in the first post you write
I used formula as ` =round (data1+data2,rounding digit)
Now say the column is locked.
If you design this table, you can make changes at the design stage. Or did I misunderstand something?

Only result column last is locked...first two columns and rounding digit cell is unlocked...
User can decide rounding digit.
Working above formula perfect but omitting zeros after decimal if present
