DAX date formats

Hi,

I hope a fairly straightforward (some hope) question , in a date table
is there a difference between using : < "Quarter" , Quarter ( [Date]) > , and < "Quarter2" , FORMAT([Date], "Q") >

I've only just found the Q format option, I've had a look at Microsoft docs for DAX but can't find a list of format types does anyone know where they are or
any information would help.

All that matters is the final result. The way you get there is not important. There may be some minor perf differences, but nothing to worry about.
