dates not equal

Does anyone have the magic formula for this critera/issue:-

if the date in a2 does not match the date in a2, then a2

Sorry, I dont find your reply helpful and ony states what i know already...aplogees if I have miised the point.

Aladin is saying that it will always match A2 as you are testing the cell against itself, perhaps you made a typo in the question?

DOH....Yes perhaps I may have.....ok here goes.​

if the date in A2 matches the date in E2 then use date in B2...

APLOGEES to all for my typo and DERness…

I manged to sort anyhoo….so a learning was earned

You didn't specify what you want the cell to have if A2 isn't the same as E2
