Hi,
I'm new to PowerPivot and have a question.
Previously when I created a pivot table it would retain the date formatting. However, when I user PowerPivot and pull a date field into the row or column label it defaults to dd/mm/yyyy format. This happens even when the date format is configured differently in the PowerPivot window or in the original linked table.
One workaround (aside from manually selecting the cells in the pivot table and changing the formatting) is to create a calculated column and use the FORMAT function, but I'm sure I don't need to do this right? Also, it doesn't sort correctly that way anyway.
Thanks guys!
Zahid
