=datedif plus 1?

If I am using =DATEIF(B3,C3,"M") how can I add 1 to the sum of the formula? I am trying to create a lease calculator and I need to include the first day of the lease in the formula. If I have a date range of 1/1/19 to 3/11/19 it currently gives me 2 and I need it to read 3 in this case.

So if I use the +1 after the formula I get a result of 1/3/1900.

That's the number 3 displayed as a date.
Format the cell as a General

Yeah that did it. I went back and changed the format on the cell and it fixed it. Thanks all!
