In online help for the DateAdd function, it says

"Note The format of the return value for DateAdd is determined by Control Panel settings, not by the format that is passed in date argument."

Am I right that this means that the UK format would be dd/mm/yyyy and the US format would be mm/dd/yyyy. If I am right, then how do you physically change the format in the control panel itself?

Excel Facts

What is =ROMAN(40) in Excel?
The Roman numeral for 40 is XL. Bill "MrExcel" Jelen's 40th book was called MrExcel XL.
In Windows goto Start>Settings>control Panel and in there open up Regional Settings. Select the Date Tab and adjust to suit your requirements. Rember though that this is a system wide change.

I have just played with DateAdd in a form and it returned the long date by default but the format for the control allowed me to change it.
