I am trying to build a [FONT=Calibri, sans-serif]patient tracker (aka Date Tracker) in excel, my requirements are the following:

1) I need to be notified within the [/FONT]first 48 hours of release date —excluding weekends.[FONT=Calibri, sans-serif]
2) Again notified within 7 days with weekends of release date.
3) Again [/FONT] notified within 14 days with weekends of release date.

Thanks in advance!

Excel can calculate days between dates. The following formula compares the release date to today's date and displays a message based on the difference. (Excluding weekends takes a bit more work, but is possible. Probably much easier with a macro than using built in formulas)

Code:
=IF(B1-TODAY()<0,"Released",IF(B1-TODAY()<2,"Less Than 2 Days",IF(B1-TODAY()<7,"Less Than 1 Week",IF(B1-TODAY()<14,"Less than 2 Weeks",""))))
