I have information on two different spreadsheets. I want to count items in a certain column if they match the date and service provided. here is what I have started off with:

=IF((COUNTIF('CBS Activity'!J2:J151,A2))>0,(COUNTIF('CBS Activity'!G2:G151,B1)),0)

A2 --- Date
'CBS Activity'!J2:J151 ---- date range (could be anywhere from 5/1/03 to 5/31/03
B1 ---- service provided
'CBS Activity!G2:G151 --- service provided range

CBS Activity has all the data that I need to pull from
The active sheet is where I want to put the count.

How to find 2nd largest value in a column?
MAX finds the largest value. =LARGE(A:A,2) will find the second largest. =SMALL(A:A,3) will find the third smallest
Thanks, I used:
{=SUM(IF('CBS Activity'!J2:J151=A2,IF('CBS Activity'!G2:G151=B1,1,0)))}
and it seems to be working perfectly!
