Date returning 00/01/1900

Hello all

I am using the below formula to return today's date:

=IF(B2<>"",IF(AF2="", NOW(),AF2),"")


I have also enabled iterative calculation so that it acts as a timestamp however the formula keeps returning the date 00/01/1900. Does anyone know why this may be?

What is in AF2? A formula, if so, what?
