Date relationship not working? Will not filter on Date Dim by Account

I haven't added a table to a report in a while but added a CRM report last night.
Joined by Date to DateDim and by Rep Name to RepTable.

However, if I pull in Account Name to row level, my pivot table totally ignores the fact I have the report filter set to specific week based on the related date.
It prompted me a couple times for 'relationship maybe needed" by I'm very confused, I've never had the DateDim just not work.
I rechecked the date formats and everything is fine.

So if I pull the DateDim, Full Date to row level, it shows me 7 dates with week filter on.
Looks like it works.
But dropping in Account name, it just repeats out to 12k rows showing every account in the table.
Anyone ever have this happen? I just can't see what's wrong when I set up everything normally.

Excel Facts

Repeat Last Command
Pressing F4 adds dollar signs when editing a formula. When not editing, F4 repeats last command.
Could you maybe specify which tables you are using and which columns are related to which tables?
Maybe have a few rows of sample data per table? That would help us a lot!

Are you using PowerPivot or just PivotTables?

Powerpivot pivot table: using just one table right now Accounts.
Table has create dates, company name, sales person and some ids.
It is related to Staff table (rep name) and DateDim by create date.
I drop the FullDate from DateDim (Date formatted) and the rep name FullName from Staff.
The FullDate works but the name is also repeating itself just like account.
I have this same setup in many other relationships and pivots.
If I put Accounts on column fields, it works. I guess it wants accounts related to Staff to be able to put in rows?
Really not following.
Ok I noticed if I drop a value in the totals, just a COUNT, it seems to adjust for reps in Rows but not accounts.
Accounts only work at the column level. I guess I need an account unique table?
