My workbook contains an 'inputs tab' where i will have 3 inputs: "date", "amount" and "number of months."

In my 'output tab' i have row 1 filled with all the month end dates. I.e Jan 31, 2020, Feb 28, 2020....etc

I want to have a dynamic formula in row 2 that will match the "date" from 'assumptions tab' and put in the "amount" for specified "number of months".

Its kinda like an =if(sequence) formula. But that doesn't work. So need something else.

Any help on this is appreciated

What is =ROMAN(40) in Excel?
The Roman numeral for 40 is XL. Bill "MrExcel" Jelen's 40th book was called MrExcel XL.

That could kinda mean a lot of things, you might need to be a bit more specific with the data layout with a sample showing some input data and the expected results.

One specific point that you will need to make clear is how the 'number of months' should affect the results, if it is of no relevance to the results then please do not include it in the sample.

Please keep your sample sensible (10~20 rows, not 100), also, please post it using XL2BB, not screen captures.
