Hi all,

as I'm still in the access kindergartern class I guess this may be a dumb question, but I'm trying to import a datetime field into a table of the form dd/mm/yyyy hh:mm:ss.000, trouble is access doesn't seem to like the milliseconds field at the end of the time.

I don't really need the milliseconds so it could be stripped off, but can i do this automatically during import?

Thanks

Dave

Can you AutoAverage in Excel?
There is a drop-down next to the AutoSum symbol. Open the drop-down to choose AVERAGE, COUNT, MAX, or MIN
Hy Dave,

You have to get into the "design" view and set the pointer into the "Date" cell. Then in the same window at the lower part go to general --> format. Choose that format you want. Then import the data and that's it.

If the format I want doesn't exist, I usually go to Excel and do a custom format until I get it right, and then you can copy that and paste it into Access.
