Can anybody help me.
I use Excel 97 (english) and pc regional settings are dutch

sub datum()
retval = InputBox("Please enter date in dd/mm/yy format")
range("A1")=retval

How come when using code above a date in format dd/mm/yy in a textbox the date in the cell is formatted like mm/dd/yy although i prevently formatted the cell like dd/mm/yy.

Second question how can i validate in vba if a date has been entered (and not text or numbers
Thx in advance

How can you turn a range sideways?
Copy the range. Select a blank cell. Right-click, Paste Special, then choose Transpose.
For your second question you could use the IsDate function in VBA.

I don't quite understand your first question.

BTW should this not be posted in the Excel forum?
