OK, friends more capable in Excel than I, I need help creating a single cell that includes a date calculation and an if statement on a date range. A1=Date; A2=Date+3 Day; A3=Date+10; A4=Date+45. Date is something like 7/1/2016, for example, and the following cells just add to that. That’s easy enough with each cell having =a1+3, =a1+10 and =a1+45. The problem is, I have another date that I’ll put in A12. I need a second formula in each cell that tells me the dates in A2, A3 and A4 are all between A1 and A12; if not, they should turn Red or something.
Thoughts?
Thanks!

It sounds like you are looking for Conditional Formatting.
Regarding the date cell A12, will it always be after the date in cell A1?

Hi, and thanks. Yes, A12 will always be a date in the future in relation to A1. These are contract dates where A1 is the start and A12 is the last the day with the other dates occurring on a timeline at various intervals between A1 and A12. Thanks for any assistance.

OK. Because the values in cell A2, A3, and A4 are always after cell A1, we only need to check if these values are less than the date in cell A12.
So, highlight cells A2:A4, and apply this Conditional Formatting formula:
Code:
=A2 < $A$12
and choose your color formatting option.
