I am trying to open a database with Access 97 that was created in Access 2000 but I keep getting an error saying it is an unrecognizable format even though it is a .mdb.. can you not open in older versions? is there any work around for this?

Thanks!

How to calculate loan payments in Excel?
Use the PMT function: =PMT(5%/12,60,-25000) is for a $25,000 loan, 5% annual interest, 60 month loan.
You will have to use Access 2000 to convert it into '97 format (Tools-Database Utilities-Convert Database). Unfortunately, all newer versions of Access so far aren't backwardly compatible with older versions. If you do convert, you should compile and save all modules first, I've had all sorts of problems with code not running properly which a compile before conversion seems to solve.
