Hi,

I'm having trouble trying to add data validation messages as the column of the value is a lookup in another worksheet. so the user will not enter the value.
I essentially want to add a two message, if the value is under <$5,000 then Message 1 and stop if the value is <$10,000 the Message 2 and okay to proceed.

Would the best solution be message box macro then? and if so can somebody help me.. not very good with this?

Thanks,

Thi

Excel Facts

Test for Multiple Conditions in IF?
Use AND(test, test, test, test) or OR(test, test, test, ...) as the logical_test argument of IF.
What is the purpose of your messages? Just an alert or push the user do to something? If he's not the one who entered the value, what should he do then?

It's a time sheet template, so the user will enter a project code which will look up the value available in separate worksheet.I then want those messages to appear based on returned value.
