Hello!!

Could anyone please post a custom formula for data validation that could block all user input and even block empty cell. I acknowledge that the user could still copy paste but that is ok with me.

Ty.

Excel Facts

Repeat Last Command
Pressing F4 adds dollar signs when editing a formula. When not editing, F4 repeats last command.
could you not just lock the range?

That solution doesn't work for me as far as I can understand your original description.
- If the cell already contains a value before that DV is set up, I can still delete that cell value, leaving the cell blank.
- If the cell was already empty when that DV is set up I can still select the cell and press either Enter or Delete, which means the DV has not met you requirement of "block empty cell"

I agree. It still would not work but atleast the end user will be forced to initiate a Ctrl+z to return the blank cell's original value. He will refrain from re-entering a name or value other than the original one.
however I agree it is not 100 % avoidable..
