I have two data validation tables, the first with a list of Item Numbers and the second with a list of the corresponding Descriptions. In all cases, there is only one unique Description associated with each unique Item Number.

Since those who are entering this information on the Purchase Orders don't know the descriptions of each Item Number, I'm wondering if it's possible to choose a particular Item Number from the first drop-down table in cell A1 and then automatically have the second drop-down table in cell B1 only show the correct corresponding Description?

Thank you.

{Formula} means the formula was entered using Ctrl+Shift+Enter signifying an old-style array formula.
you dont need a dependant dropdown

Wow, the Index/Match option worked great! An awesome and easy to implement solution. Many thanks!
