Hi guys and gals,

So I intern in more than one department and I need help because I'm completely swamped. I don't know if this is even possible to do but here it goes:

I need to condense some data into multiple Data Validation lists so that my boss can more easily view specific info instead of having to search for it in the spreadsheet.

I attached an example picture so hopefully you can see it.
What I need is to condense that data into 3 data validation lists. My boss specifically asked for Data Validation.

The lists would be:
1) Question
2) Trainer with date
3) Feedback

I would also like the Percentage to show up as well with the data, dependent on what is selected for the 3 lists. I realize this is a lot of work but if anyone can help me you will be a life (and job) saver!

Excel Facts

Copy PDF to Excel
Select data in PDF. Paste to Microsoft Word. Copy from Word and paste to Excel.
can u show us how it should look like?

A1 - dropdown with question [understood obj. / met obj. / overall]
A2 - dropdown with trainer's name [Jimenez / Smith / .... ]

... and what next?

Atorres05, I had a look at your file and I am afraid that you need to change the whole layout and make it look like a database, then it will be so much easier to do what you want.
I've implemented a template based on your data, it uses no VBA macros, only Formulas and validation, however it 'll only work with Excel 2010 and higher.
find it the link below and let me know if this suites your needs, we will make it look more professional.

good luck.

XLRATOR,

Wow that is exactly what I am looking for!! Actually, I really didn't even know what I was looking for but you exceeded my expectations nonetheless. Thank you so much.

I used your template and edited it to look more professional like you said, and I can't believe how great and fluid it works. I also understand Data Validation now - I was completely lost before but taught myself by studying your work. I'm glad you didn't use any macros or else it all would have gone way over my head I'm sure. It's really simple now that I get it.

Needless to say, I can't thank you enough! It's kind people like you who make this forum and community so great.

Cheers, mate.

Good morning,
I am really glad that this helped :)
I've actually replied to your PM, and modified the file as per the data you showed me to handle, so you should have received the link to the it in your Inbox.
regards.
