Hello everyone! I have a query of a list of equipment that each item in the list is, in one column, listed as active or inactive via "TRUE" or "FALSE". I would like to data validate a cell in a worksheet that looks for the Equipment number in my equipment list, but I only want the dropdown to list results of active("TRUE") equipment. Can anyone please direct me to how to do this?

Excel Facts

Copy formula down without changing references
If you have =SUM(F2:F49) in F50; type Alt+' in F51 to copy =SUM(F2:F49) to F51, leaving the formula in edit mode. Change SUM to COUNT.
You'll need to use a range somewhere with the FILTER function - something like:

Excel Formula:
=FILTER(Tablename[Equipment number],Tablename[Active?]=TRUE)

to get a list of the valid numbers. Then define a named range that refers to that spilled range and use that name in the DV list.

Thank you very much! That worked perfectly.
