Hi all!

ive been asked to do something and i agreed, and i dont know how to do it!

i have tick boxes in column B and time taken in column C.

We would like to set a rule if the tick box has been ticked in Cell B6, but nothing has been added to Cell C6 it comes up with something to ensure the data is being added.

How would i do this/

Thank you :)

Welcome to Mr Excel

Do you want to go as far as not enabling the user to check another check box or enter a value in column C on another row or even move to another sheet or close the workbook
without the value in column C being entered?

If a column B check box is unchecked do you want the corresponding value in column C to be deleted?

All are quite easily possible.

Thank you for the welcome.

If the tick box is not ticked in column B, no data needed in Column C.

If the tick box is ticked in column B, then further information is needed to be added in column C (in this case we need the time taken to do the certian task) so if the tick box has been ticked but no data is added to column C, we would like a reminder/cell to do do something as a reminder mechanism that the cell is to be completed.

Hope this makes more sence!

Thank you :)

You could do something simple like this if column D is free.

The checkboxes in column B don't appear in a XL2BB Mini Sheet but they are there.
