Hi
Lets say, I have a column called Name and I expect user enter names. I can see only option to limit text length. But what I want, I want excel give error message if user enter numbers, date, time etc. only text allowed. Is that possible? Thanks alot.

Excel Facts

Create a chart in one keystroke
Select the data and press Alt+F1 to insert a default chart. You can change the default chart to any chart type
Amendment should be in the first cell of the column, at formula, enter =ISTEXT(A1)

Then you copy down the column.

You don't need to copy down the column, you can select all the cells then just put in the formula for the first cell i.e. you could select B1:B10 and then in the custom box just put =ISTEXT(B1) and it will have the same effect as copying down.
