Hey guys!

I have 3 tables:

  • Salespersons data
  • forecast sales per salespersons
  • actual sales per salespersons
I want to make a pivot table that shows per day of the month, how much a person needs to be selling, vs how much the person sold on each of the elapsed days of the month. The problem is that I when I try to make the pivot table of salesperson and the other two, I can display how much they have sold, how much they can have forecasted, but I can't use the date of the FC table (forecast table) and the actual sales table, because the each of the tables, has their own date column.

What I tried to do is create a date table, which would then be related to each of the sales and forecast table, and use that as the date to compare Sales vs Forecast. But this does not work either.

The dates in both sales and FC tables, have the mm/dd/yyyy format, but I can't seem to make the relationship properly.

The idea is that the pivot table looks like this:

But when I try to do this, this comes up:

(Nomenclature is the salesperson code)

Pls help?

Thanks!

Excel Facts

What is the shortcut key for Format Selection?
Ctrl+1 (the number one) will open the Format dialog for whatever is selected.
Guys my apologies!

I kept on reading and found my error. The dates were in fact not the same format. One had midnight, and the other one didn't. Thanks! This is solved :D
