Hi all,

I have created a pivot chart (line graph) and would like the x-axis to display all months (Jan-Dec).

The pivot table linked to the pivot chart formatted to show a running total for each month.

So far I can either show only months that have data (i.e - if I have data for Jan-Mar, I can show a running total for these months but it will not show blank data from Apr-Dec on the x-axis)

OR

I can show all of the months but if I have data from Jan-Mar, the running total will show the same data that is in Mar for the rest of the months (Apr-Dec).

It cannot be difficult to achieve what I require but I cannot get the required end result- The line graph will show an x-axis with January to December month labels and the data series line will only show data which actually available as a running total. As the new month data is entered the line will expand the running total for that month and stop until the next month's data is entered.

Thank you in advance.

SOLVED

Add a calculated field IF(Value<>0,Value," ")
Summarize this field as a running total which will give you #Value errors where data is not present

Then using pivot table options - 'For error values show' (blank)
