I am trying to copy and paste data from the internet and it works fine at my work computer but when I do it at home it puts everything in column A rather than spread it out across the columns.

Any suggestions as to why this may occur? I am most likely using different versions of excel at home v work but the file itself is the one from work that i get via dropbox.

Thanks

Seamus

I believe that Excel tries to remember your actions and repeats it even when you don't want it to.

Try (at home) pasting, then do the "Text To Columns" function. Hopefully, Excel will remember that that is what you want to do and will do it for you (as it does at work).
