CUT is now COPY (s/t Now what have I done?)

Somewhere in the past 48 hours, my Excel 07 CUT function turned into a COPY function.
i.e. I either use the cut button or the CTRL+X and visually nothing happens (no selection rectangle), but when I paste, the proper content is pasted - and is now in the original range, and the pasted range.

Did I flip a setting somewhere?

Google has not readily answered my inquiries.
I don't have anything as far as application-level macros running.
Only ExcelJeanie & Analysis Toolpack are running as-far-as add-ins go.
Also; I checked other Office Apps and they seem to be fine.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated - this is getting annoying.

Problem Resolved itself.
Could have been something in the last MS Patch release where the release was waiting for another re-boot to complete the install and in that time of limbo, things were rather unstable.
