CustomUI does not work when called from another user

Hello all,

I have recently encountered a problem when I share my customizedribbon and respective macros with another user.

I have several Macros in my PERSONAL project in excel and I created some buttons manually to call these macros.

Apparently, when I created the buttons, each button was associated to a macro stored in my PERSONAL.XLSB in my personal area, not accessible to other users.

When I share the macros and my customizedribbon with another user, I get an error saying that the macro may not be available in this workbook and the macro does not run.

I tried already to change the application.startuppath to a shared location and paste the PERSONAL.XLSB file to that same folder, to work from that file instead of the "...\XLSTART". Did not work.

Any way I can solve this issue?

Thanks in advance,
APires

What did Pito Salas invent?
Pito Salas, working for Lotus, popularized what would become to be pivot tables. It was released as Lotus Improv in 1989.
pull your PERSONAL macros out and put them in a module to share.
you can export the module alone, or
just make sure the module is in the workbook you share.

Hi ranman,
Thanks for your reply.

I can export the modules I have and import them to other users project.

I can also export my ribbon and import it to other users excel.

My problem is that the buttons I import to other users ribbon, still try to run the macros from my personal area and not the users personal area.

Do you know how to solve this issue?
