Hi all,

I want to put validation in a cell that should only accept the value of the sum of let’s say column “G”.
I used the formula, =SUM(OFFSET($G$2,0,0,100,1)) but it rejects all values.
Please advice.

Thanks

Excel Facts

Move date out one month or year
Use =EDATE(A2,1) for one month later. Use EDATE(A2,12) for one year later.
I can't replicate this.

For me, using the Custom option, this formula allowed input of any value.

Maybe this instead ?
=A1=SUM(G1:G100)
where A1 is the cell that contains the Custom Validation function.
With this, I can only input a value that matches SUM(G1:G100).
