How do I create a custom number format that always returns 5 digits? Examples:

#2 = 00002
#2 2 = 00022
#2 22 = 00222

Excel Facts

What is =ROMAN(40) in Excel?
The Roman numeral for 40 is XL. Bill "MrExcel" Jelen's 40th book was called MrExcel XL.
Is that a space between the #2 and following numbers? If so, your values are text and cannot be formatted.

No, its just how the post formatted it for some reason. It should just be 2, 22 and 222
