I have a database on a Network.
With 3 MDE files
The database is on NetworkDrive J:\

Other users have the database on the same drive, but on driveletter I:\

The problem:
When I open the MDE, it works.

But when I open the MDE on a account of other users, Access Says:
Cannot connect to J:\. That's because the driveletter must be I:\

How can I open a form in de MDE and that Access looks in the current directory path? And not to J:\

Get help while writing formula
Click the italics "fx" icon to the left of the formula bar to open the Functions Arguments dialog. Help is displayed for each argument.
If you go into windows explorer and look at your I drive, it will say something like: proj on 'dri00002'

Then, instead of mapping to I:\my_file, try mapping to \\dri00002\proj\my_file

That way, your macro will not require the user to have mapped the network drive on their local machine.

Direct substitution. Replace the existing, probably hardcoded drive location with the text he suggested.

I think the OP is using Get External Data>Link Tables... to create the links rather than a macro.

A macro/code probably is the solution to the problem though.
