I have a combo box that is an ActiveX control that is using the data picker. I would like to have the default of the box be the current date each time the form is opened. I have a check box that needs to be checked in order to active the drop down list. Currently the date that appears is the date that I initially keyed in the custom properties of the combo box.

Thanks,
Matthew

Excel Facts

Move date out one month or year
Use =EDATE(A2,1) for one month later. Use EDATE(A2,12) for one year later.
The subject line should read: Current date for ActiveX Date Picker; not data.

Sorry for the confusion.

Just wondering if anyone has any other suggestions on this old item of mine?

Thanks,

Does the control have a default property?

Can't you set the date when the control is displayed?

I had never thought about trying it when the form loads. If I place the following code in my On Load function, that should populate the cell with the current date. My only other question is that since I have a check box inside of the date picker, if I populate it with the current date, it automatically checks the check box. How to I uncheck the box but still leave the current date grayed out?

Me.ActiveXDatePickerBox = Now()
