Do you hate GETPIVOTDATA?
Prevent GETPIVOTDATA. Select inside a PivotTable. In the Analyze tab of the ribbon, open the dropown next to Options and turn it off
The $ symbol just means it is a currency field. It won't change to other currencies.

i thought it can be changed when i do the locale. so is really the case...??? if so how do i produce a report via power query or bi that the values are not $?

It doesn't matter what the data looks like in PQ. You format the output.
