I want to retrieve the folder of the file with CurDir. Yesterday it seemed to work fine, however today it only returns the My Documents path. The folder of the file is in the My Documents dir however is not shown anymore. How is this possible?

Code:
    sLocDir = CurDir

Nevermind, found the issue. The CurDir locates not the folder in which the file is located but at what folder excel is 'pointing', so to say. f.e. the dir excel shows when you press 'open file'.

Christian, as you have no doubt found:

Code:
MsgBox ActiveWorkbook.Path

will return the path (directory) of the active workbook.
