Is there a formula I can use to calculate cumulative yield percentage? I am trying to figure out pricing of one of the products my company manufactures. I have all the individual yield percentages for each operation but need the cumulative percent for all the operations combined in order to calculate some other costs such as overhead.

Excel Facts

Does the VLOOKUP table have to be sorted?
No! when you are using an exact match, the VLOOKUP table can be in any order. Best-selling items at the top is actually the best.
This sounds like a weighted average question. To help, could you provide a small data set of say two components individually and the aggregate result you are expecting?

Operation: Yield: Cumulative Yield:
10 98 93.1
20 95 95.0
30 100 100.0
40 100 100.0

The way the system is calculating this is by starting at the last operation and dividing 100 by the yield %. This is repeated for the next operation and then the yield % is divided by the previous answer.
Ex. - operation 10 = 98/(100/95) = 93.1%

Hope this doesn't make things more confusing.
