Cross Posting in other site allowed?

I wanted to know, if Cross posting in other forum is allowed on same question?? If yes, should I be putting reference of that site in my post??

Please advice, as I do not want break forum rule.

You can cross-post. Just post a link to it, so that people here don't waste their time on a problem that has been solved elsewhere -- and vice versa.
