I have sheet 1 with a macro button. I would like to click on that button and it will call to a macro or another sheet within the workbook to create a new number ( last po + 1) number and then paste it into a specified cell on worksheet 1.

any thoughts.

thanks

I finally got around to trying this out after a long awaited vacation.

This is interesting. When I click on my macro button it applies numbers in column b from 1 to 3000 ( if I put 3000 in the test value page)

if i put 50 in the test value page it applies numbers from 1-50 in column b.

How can i restrict the numbering to just one cell. And can i build on the number like 3000+1.

Also I would like to embed all code into one worksheet. ie. I would make the testvalue on sheet 3 then hide the sheet.

Thanks so much for the code provided!!!!!

I know we are all busy so if you don't have time i totally understand.

I wanted to thank you again for taking your time in trying to help me on this project. With the help of Users on the msg board we were able to figure it out and now my sheet works like a charm.

Thanks again!!

I can now genereate a sequential number from another sheet within the same workbook.
