Creating Hyperlinking Cross-References between Word and Excel

Actually, what's needed is the ability to create reciprocal hyperlinks between two office products that are point-to-point. That is, creating a link in a specific excel cell that takes you to a specific bookmark of a word doc and vice-versa. Or, creating hyperlinks between two of the same programs but to external files. For example, clicking on one hyperlink in an excel file would open up another excel file and take you to where that reciprocating link was established. Same thing with Word, a link placed at one bookmark could open up another workbook and activating the place where the ending bookmark was placed.
