I have a query that is pulling data from one table and creating a new table in another db. I have one column that has the list of names and a second column that has the area of responsibility (number format). I need my make table query to retun the name in one column and the area responsible + specified text (generally Store #, Division #, etc) in the second column.
EX: Joe Smith Store 50
Tammy Smith Division 100

Excel Facts

Move date out one month or year
Use =EDATE(A2,1) for one month later. Use EDATE(A2,12) for one year later.
OK- Never mind. It never fails that the minute I post something, I have a realization two seconds later and figure out what I was doing wrong.......

Same thing happens to me! I try to explain my problem to a fellow co-worker, and, as I do the explanation, I get one of those, "Of course! Why didn't I see it before?" kind of exclamations. It's called, "Bouncing a thought on someone else". And, it's a valid scheme to get an elusive result!
