Creating an evolving table of averages from a growing list

I have an ever-growing master list of values and a table to summarize the list using sumif and averageif functions. I am hoping that there is a way to make the summary table update as the master list grows longer without going back into the function and expanding the cells that the sumif and averageif functions search through.

Create a table from the Dataset by clicking on any cell in the data and using the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+T.

I am aware of that. But if the data is a table, then the formulas should update when new records are added to the table.
