Dear ALL,
I have the data present in SQL Server tables. I need some simple front-end to query the data and also do some manipulations.(changing some information, generating reports etc).

Would also like to build a form which will use the SQL Server tables as base.

The form will have a few combos and some of them have to show filtered data based on data entered in some other fields.

Can someone help on this.

If required I can send the Access database (with the SQL server tables part of this database).

Thanks in advance

Excel Facts

How to find 2nd largest value in a column?
MAX finds the largest value. =LARGE(A:A,2) will find the second largest. =SMALL(A:A,3) will find the third smallest
The quick and dirty way to do it is to create a linked table in Access and proceed as normal. Plus: Easy to do Minus: Slow
Another is to create an Access Data Project adn use ADO to pull the data down. Plus: Quick Minus: Difficult to implement. Lots of code and troubleshooting.

Is this going to be a long-term requirement?

Thanks for the solution. This could be something which will be used mostly for reporting for a long time. There may not be too many updates to the forms/reports. But the data will be updated often.
What I am looking for is to create a data entry form for the SQL Server data and some of the manipulations could be done from the SQL Server, before generating the reports.
